HISTORIA
Selman & Asociados Arquitectura is a collaborative Architecture | Interior Design | Urban Design | Project Management firm serving the hospitality, residential, commercial and institutional market throughout the Caribbean region, founded in the Dominican Republic in 1972 as Eduardo Selman & Asociados, and later rebranded in 1992.
Our practice ranges from master planning of residential developments to private residences and interior design projects as well as larger and more complex commercial and residential buildings. Over the last decade we have been particularly involved in the Dominican tourism industry, where we have gained a vast experience in resort residential and hospitality design.
Amongst our most important and celebrated projects are Hotel Casa de Campo, Hoteles Royalton & Memories Splash Punta Cana, Hotel Sheraton in Santo Domingo, Hotel Casa Bonita in Barahona, Hotel Fortuna Beach in Bahamas, Spa @ Hotel Pico Bonito in Honduras, and most recently La Romana Cruise Terminal in La Romana, Hyundai Dealership in Jamaica and the Hotel and Beach Club Punt Arena in the resort of the same name, amongst other residential towers and private residences.
We hold a long and robust list of institutional and individual clients, and a tradition of contemporary architecture that stands out for it’s avant-garde and pragmatic approach to design, which has made it deserve numerous publications, acknowledgments and awards.

We strive to design buildings that balance aesthetic, spatial and functional requirements, challenging the common design response to any particular building type and adding value through design excellence and professionally produced construction documents.
We pursue a clean and minimalist aesthetics in which the use of light, geometric forms, planes, surfaces and materials become preponderant and integrate concepts like simplicity, openness, spaciousness and fluidity.

The mission of the Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) is to advance the appreciation and exposure of quality architectural design worldwide. The AMP architecture award celebrates creativity and innovation in the fields of architectural design, landscape architecture, and interior design.
